#9 R&B, #9 Pop

The Jelly Beans were only together from their inception in High School in 1962  until their breakup in 1965 — but Alma Brewer, Elyse and Maxine Herbert, Diane Taylor and Charlie Thomas made their mark on Popular music with ther only top ten hit  – “I Wanna Love Him So Bad.” This was the groups  first single, of only three, on Lieber & Stoller’s Red Bird Records.  It’s a classic that I love …especially that bass as sung by Taylor.

Composed by Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich,   this song has that “Brilll Bulding Sound’ that I love! Don’t you?
