I love K.T. Tunstall‘s guitar playing and her cover version of the 1968 #1 Jackson Five Classic — “I Want You Back” certainly shows off her skills!
I don’t know if Michael Jackson ever got to hear this cover version, but if he did he would be proud. Generally I have not cared for the very few J5 cover versions I have heard, but this one is a pure delight.
The single doesn’t appear on either of K.T.’s CDs (at least not the versions I own) but this live version from YouTube certainly rocks! If anyone knows if there is a recorded version please write in using the comment section below: I’d love to purchase this gem.
Kudos to Ms. Tunstall for keeping these classic Motown oldies alive!
