“Blue Monday” Performed by Fats Domino (1957)

#1 R&B #5 Pop

“Blue Monday”  was composed by Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew.

I love this song so much. It makes me feel happy inside. In fact any tune being sung by Fats Domino makes  me feel happy inside and out. :-)

I remember playing my Mom’s 78 rpm of this cut over and over when she wasn’t home.  She was a big Fats Domino fan, so I came to know and love all of his classic Rock and Roll tunes.

I didn’t think much more about those tunes during my teenage years,  but once the show “Happy Days’ aired and the character “Ritchie Cunningham” would sing those opening lyrics to Fat’s BLUEberry hill it came rushing back to me.

Uh ho. Another BLUE  title.  Guess you know what tune is up next? LOL I’ll used the next post to get more into the musical legend from New Orleans that is Antoine “Fats” Domino –  so stay tuned.

Musically Yours,
