“I’m Telling You Now” was the fourth US single by Britain’s Freddie & The Dreamer’s released in 1965. All four singles made the Billboard Top 100, but only “I’m Telling You Now” reached the number one spot knocking The Supremes’ “Stop In The Name of Love” from it’s lofty perch. “I’m Telling You Now” remained in the top spot for two weeks in April of 1 965. It had previously been released as a single in the UK.
Now enjoy this live vintage performance and pay special attention to the choreography. When I saw F&TD on the Ed Sullivan Show I can clearly recall standing up in front of our Black and White Admiral television set doing “The Freddie” dance while my grandmother watched shaking her head (LOL)
And this was Freddie’s very last recorded performance in July 2000. Are you ready to do the Freddie with Freddie?
