After the Beatles’ “I Feel Fine”  spent two weeks at number 1, our Motown Divas, The Supremes took the number one spot back for the USA with “Come See About Me!”

“Come See About Me”, composed by Holland-Dozier-Holland, has the distinction of being number 1 two years in a row. Released October 27th,1964 the song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 the week of December 19th, 1964 and then again the week of January 16, 1965!

“Come See About Me” also charted #3 on the Cash Box Singles chart and #27 on the UK singles chart.

“Come See About Me” was the third number 1 in a row for “The Girls” (as Ed Sullivan called them) and that was just the beginning as  there were many more to come!

This vintage live performance of the number one hit is tops. Enjoy!

This was when music was music! I use to listen to all my Dad’s old songs. He still has all the records. Every now and then, I listen to them on his old record player. There’s nothing like the good old Oldies!
