“Christmas Waltz” Performed By The Carpenters (1978)

“Christmas Waltz” is one of my many favorites from The Carpenters‘  “Christmas Portrait.” Released in 1978, it sold  a million copies by year end!

This album has now become an enduring part of the holiday culture. It is a perfect set for trimming the tree or Christmas Eve relaxation or just writing a blog post as I am doing right now.

I have always believed that Karen Carpenter’s voice was and is a National Treasure. I hope she understood how great her musical instrument (voice not her drum set) really was.
