“Keep On Dancing” Performed By The Gentrys (1965)

November 3, 2010

#4 Pop

Formed in Memphis, Tennesse in 1963, “Keep On Dancing” was the second single and only top ten hit for the group.

I loved the song then and now!  Makes me move in my seat and wanna get up to dance even when I am alone. So many songs of the Sixties have that upbeat happy feeling, don’t they? What’s not to love?

The band broke up in 1966.

Check out this great interview with vocalist Larry Rasberry of The Gentrys by Gary James at his site Famousinterview.com.
