#40 R&B, #85 Pop

Composed by the talented writing duo Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson, “I Am You Man”  is right behind “Does Your Mama Know About Me”  on my list of BT&TV favorites.  It may not have charted as high as a third song from the same LP did, “Malinda”, but it is my second favorite by the group that is not a cover song.

All of these songs are from the Berry Gordy produced self-titled LP on BT&TV, that was both their first and last, for the Gordy subsidiary of the Motown label. The LP charted #20 on the R&B chart.

Musically Yours,
