Arthur Conley – Sweet Soul Music (1967)  in a more pristine version for you to listen to.

This song was originally written by Sam Cooke as “Yeah Man” and released on Shake, his first posthumous album. Conley and his mentor Otis Redding, updated it as a tribute to various Soul singers. It went on to become #2 on the charts in the USA and #7 in the U.K.

Here is the Sam Cooke original version before Conley and Redding re-wrote it.
