“The Motown Song” Performed by Rod Stewart featuring the Temptations (1991)

September 8, 2007

Frankly I love this tune and I also happen to love Rod Stewart. When he sings, I can hear the influence of his idol Same Cooke. This was a hit during the beginning of one of Rod’s many comebacks. This man just reinvents himself decade after decade. He’s like the energizer bunny and he just keeps going with the flow.

Anyway, I wanted to share this song with you, not as an old school memory, but as an example of, and proof that, the love of old school music is enduring and everlasting. Fans and musical artists alike, both love it so won’t you give it a chance?

Plus the video animation is cool to me. I liked it then and I liked it now. See how many animated celebrity characters you can identify. But most of all enjoy.

Thanks for reading.

P.S. I was wondering if anyone was even reading this blog, but then I decided that it felt good to celebrate this music in my small way. If I introduce at least ONE newbie to this wonderful music, then at least I would have accomplished something.
